How I met my Love?

It’s funny how life surprises us when we least expect it. As the new year rolled in, I found myself reflecting on my journey of self-love and growth. Little did I know, amidst my TikTok adventures, I was about to meet someone who would change everything.
It was the first month of the year 2024. I can feel how time flies so fast. Gosh, a year has already ended, and now I'm facing this year again, asking God for something different. Well, I'm so tired of being someone who settles for less. I respect and love myself so much more now than I did last year—it was really heartbreaking; I almost lost myself. But thank God for that heartbreak. God showed me that I am a woman who can give love without breaking my own worth.
A Virtual Birthday Surprise for my Man |
So yeah, God has already blessed me with a handsome, caring, loving, respectful, awesome man. Wait, how will I describe him? OHH, he is just indescribable! I wasn’t expecting this; I guess God can surprise us in the most unexpected situations. I met someone named Cody—or should I say my "man" now, haha! I'm just a girl doing my thing on TikTok when he kept viewing my profile. I thought, 'This guy is curious about me.' I didn’t hesitate to try and get his attention. I clicked the 'nudge,' and guess what? He responded!
You know the typical stranger-first convo? Well, he wasn't sweet in his first messages; he talked a lot about random things—like how he guessed what country I’m from, his hobbies, and his plans for Thailand. Deep inside, I was like, "Lol, I am from the Philippines, man. Just try to come here!" Of course, I didn’t send that, haha! But anyway, what I love about him is his story about God and his faith—his testimony. Before he even mentioned cystic fibrosis (CF), I had already researched it and learned that his favorite verse is Hebrews 12:11. I didn’t tell him that I was already amazed.
It takes a lot of faith, sacrifice, patience, and discipline to fight cystic fibrosis. I wasn’t aware of that condition until I met him. But the way he looks at life and inspires others makes my heart feel so peaceful every time he mentions it, without even realizing that I am falling for him. Yes, I fell in love with him so quickly, but I assure you, it is real! They say loving someone means loving their scars too, and I don’t see those scars as flaws; it’s his bravery and faith that inspire me.
I started to pray for him the day we talked on TikTok. I felt something different, like God was telling me that I am meant for him. No kidding! I even laughed at myself, thinking, "Is this really me?" But yes, I fell in love with someone I haven’t met yet. I believe you can still love someone from a distance, and that’s one of the best feelings in the world. Now, I am so sure of him. I love him so much, and I am so proud to have him.
To you who is reading this, I love you so much, my love! I love you with all my heart! I love you filled with God's love!
