Just sharing this message from our prayer meeting. ♥️ Matt 11:28-30 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Resting in His Presence 1. Come to me (Invitation) Kapag pala pagod tayo, number 1 na gusto ni Lord na pumunta tayo sa Kanya. - Minsan nauubos na energy natin sa ibang bagay, pero di natin magawang pumunta sa ating Lord. - We will come to the Lord because we know who He is. - Don't forget the phrase "Come to Me" sa tuwing may pinagdadaanan tayo 2. The Inspiring Story of Jim Elliot

THE INSPIRING STORY OF JIM ELLIOT

Learn about the life and legacy of Jim Elliot, a committed Christian missionary who dedicated his life to spreading the gospel to the Auca Tribes in Ecuador. Discover how his story continues to inspire and encourage Christians worldwide to persevere in their faith and commitment to Jesus Christ.

In Matthew 22:14, it is written, “For many are called, but few are chosen.” God calls everyone to spread His word, but few are chosen to do so. Missionaries are those who answer this call and go to foreign countries to spread the gospel. Jim Elliot was one such missionary. Born on October 8, 1927, he professed his faith in Jesus at six and grew up in a loving, devout Christian family. From a young age, Jim was passionate about reaching people who had never heard of Jesus.

Jim met Elisabeth during college, and after five years of seeking God's direction, they married in 1953. They are considered among the greatest missionaries in history.

Jim felt a strong calling to reach the Auca Tribes in Ecuador, a group known for their isolation and brutality. He formed a team with Nate Saint, Pete Fleming, Ed McCully, and Roger Youderian, calling their mission "Operation Auca." Initially, the mission went well, but on January 8, 1956, the Aucas killed the five missionaries.

Despite this tragedy, their wives continued the mission. Elisabeth Elliot, with the help of Dayuma, a member of the Auca tribe, returned to the tribe and preached the gospel. Many Aucas eventually converted to Christianity.

The lives of these missionaries demonstrate a profound commitment to Christ and the gospel, inspiring many to reach unreached people. Their perseverance, suffering, and ultimate sacrifice continue to motivate Christians today.

I am inspired by Jim Elliot's story and often reflect on what I can sacrifice for Jesus Christ. His legacy lives on, encouraging us to share the gospel, whether at home or abroad. Following Christ is challenging, requiring faith and trust in God. We can still spread His love by living out the gospel in our daily lives.

Imagine the impact of the missionaries' faith, bringing hope and salvation to the tribes. What can your faith do?
